While there was understandable hilarity last night, Celtic’s Champions League qualification opponent was solidified after Linfield scraped by with a draw against La Fiorita.

The Belfast sides late goal in the first leg was enough to get them through the tie and hand them a date with the Scottish Champions.

As we all know, due to the culture parades walking through Belfast blissfully pretending they’re living in the 17th century – Celtic will not be playing the game when it was scheduled for.

Instead, the game will be played next Friday at 5pm to avoid as much ‘chaos’ as possible. This is something Celtsarehere.com thoroughly disagree with and back the Celtic Trust on their statement to the club which we previously posted.

However, there’s a game to be played and while the friendlies have given us some indication of Brendan Rodgers thinking going into the game, it will be intriguing to see how he sets up.

After Celtic failed to come out swinging last season in the qualifiers, the Irishman knows it’s imperativie to get a good start and lay down a marker. We have seen just last night what can happen if you’re a team ill prepared for any challenge.

Celtic will be confident of getting up and running quickly but we can take nothing for granted.
