KARAMOKO DEMBELE has been absent from the senior squad for a few weeks now and has featured for the B team. With his contract running down, it’s getting increasingly likely that he will have no more opportunities in the first team.

The winger has been in Celtic’s youth system from a young age. Hyped up early in his career, it’s fair to say that the soon-to-be Ivory Coast internationalist hasn’t lived up to expectations.

During Friday’s press conference, the Celtic manager was reluctant to give a defining answer on the player but did hint at some issues with Karamoko Dembele.

“All the players, every day, are in front of me. They have the opportunity to show the best they can be then it’s up to me to make decisions.

“With Kaz [Karamoko] he’s training with us every day. It’s great he can play with the B team, they’ve got some big games coming up tomorrow then Tuesday. Johnny Kenny is in a similar boat. With that game time, it gives them an opportunity to get ready if the opportunity arises.”

Ange made it clear that players have the opportunity to impress him every day in training, training with the senior squad. It seems as though Postecoglou is hinting that Karamoko isn’t doing this, and that’s why he’s not being selected in his matchday squads.

CeltsAreHere know that Karamoko has been pulled up about his attitude before. The player clearly has one foot out the door, and there’s no turning back.

It’s a shame. Postecoglou has gone on record to say he was looking forward to working with the player this season. Obviously, his injury in the preseason hasn’t helped Dembele’s cause, but his attitude seems to be a turn off to the manager.
