Celtic have been the better side in the first half against Aberdeen, dictating play and creating several chances, but the score line remains 0-0 as we head into the break.
The Hoops have shown plenty of attacking intent, but they’ve been unable to break down Aberdeen’s defence, despite some promising opportunities.
The first notable moment of the game came in the 2nd minute, when Kyogo Furuhashi ran into Aberdeen goalkeeper Ross Doohan, with the Dons awarded a free kick.
However, it was Celtic who quickly found their rhythm, controlling the ball and looking to create openings.
As the match has progressed, Celtic have begun to show their quality.
In the 9th minute, the Hoops earned a corner, which led to an attempt from Paulo Bernardo.
His shot from outside the box was narrowly wide, but it was another example of Celtic’s attacking pressure.
Celtic’s best chance of the half came in the 21st minute when Callum McGregor fired a left-footed shot just wide of the right post, after a well-timed pass from Nicolas Kühn.
Then, in the 27th minute, Álex Valle had a chance to put Celtic ahead after a corner from Johnston, but his left-footed shot was high and wide, another close call for the Hoops.
While Celtic’s attacking play has been dominant, Aberdeen have had a few chances as well.
In the 18th minute, Duk fired a shot from outside the box, which was saved by Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
Aberdeen’s Kevin Nisbet would then picked up a yellow card in the 24th minute for a bad foul on Álex Valle, and Celtic have earned a few more free kicks in the the first half.
Despite dominating possession with over 60% of the ball, Celtic have been unable to convert chances into goals.

As we head into the second half, the Hoops will need to take control of the match and turn their dominance into goals.
