It’s taken a little longer than expected but according to reports Ismaila Soro has played his last game for current club Bnei Yehuda and will now make his way to sign for Celtic.

Soro, 21, is a defensive midfielder by trade and would be coming in to add some more energy to the midfielder and maybe give Scott Brown a few games off.

SunSport reports:

‘CELTIC-BOUND Ismaila Soro bowed out of Bnei Yehuda by helping his club reach the quarter-finals of the Israeli Cup.’

The club already made their first winter window signing this week when they landed Patryk Klimala in a four and a half year deal.

Neil Lennon and his scouting team appear to be staying very true to the club’s transfer ethos – sign young talented players to develop so they can be sold for a major profit down the line. A practice which has served the club well over the years.

With Scott Brown playing to a very high level in the middle of the park, previous moves for defensive midfielders haven’t worked out. Just ask Eboue Kouassi.
