Celtic need to freshen up the squad this summer, there’s no doubting that.

However, they need to get a full time manager installed as soon as possible so they can run the rule over who they want to keep and let go. It will be vital the new manager has time to work these things out but it looks like Celtic will be fielding offers for their players very shortly.

Reports today claim La Liga side Alaves are seriously looking into bringing Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic to Spain next term with the Spaniards seemingly keen on the player according to SunSport.

Whoever comes in as Celtic boss won’t be in a rush to sell any defender’s who are currently at the club because Filip Benkovic and Dedryck Boyata are both heading for the exit. Jozo and Ajer will be our only two recognised centre backs until we look at bringing new players in this summer.

Given the player’s importance to the team at the minute you would imagine the club would like to get at least what they paid for Jozo back if they did sell and according to TransferMarkt that’s around £6.75m.
