Celtic are preparing for offers for defender Josip Juranovic after the World Cup [The Mail Plus].

The 27-year old has been selected as part of Croatia’s squad for the World Cup by Zlatko Dalić and is very likely to be a regular for his country at the tournament.

They will face Belgium, Canada. and Morocco in their group and are likely to make it to the latter stages of the competition which many believe will cause interest in the fullback.

Juranovic joined the Scottish champions last summer from Polish side Legia Warsaw for a fee believed to be around £2.5 million with his current deal set to expire in May 2026.

However, it has been revealed that the player and club have not been able to reach an agreement over a new contract with it becoming increasingly likely that Celtic will be braced for offers during the January window for the defender.

He has previously be linked with clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Manchester United with it being revealed that Celtic would listen to offers above £15 million but surely a strong showing at the World Cup would only increase his transfer value.

Postecoglou tends to be one step ahead of the game when it comes to transfers and will have a plan in place for any player who wishes to depart the club. At the recent AGM he stated that some players will have to move on for the benefit of the club as they look to make further progression under his leadership.
