FORMER Celtic striker Stefan Scepovic has made a deadline day move to Hungarian side Videoton FC from Spanish club Getafe.

The frontman who played for Celtic between 2014-2016 has found a permanent home hard to come by and has had several spells at Getafe and Sporting Gijon in recent times.

He joins the club on a permanent basis and hopes to make his mark in the Hungarian league.

Scepovic spoke to the Videoton website after signing on the dotted line.

“I have come to Vidi to perform to my best and help the team with goals, which will hopefully see us win the league. I do not want to talk about my strengths, as that is not my job to deal with this. That is down to the coaches and the supporters to see. All I want to do is give my best and if I can do this, then it will be to the advantage of the team. I have spoken a lot with my brother regarding the club, the targets, facilities and other aspects. That played a very big part in making up my mind. It has been a difficult period for me recently, but I am sure that I can perform to a high standard with Videoton FC, which I know I am capable of.”
