Celtic’s Europa League opponents AC Milan are set to be without star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic for an extended period of time with it being highly likely he misses next weeks game against the Scottish Champions at the San Siro.

As reported by the Daily Record, the Swedish striker picked up a hamstring injury in the Italian side’s 3-1 win over Napoli last night after he scored a double in the game which saw Milan go back to the top of the Serie A.

Zlatan didn’t score in the fixture at Parkhead, which also saw Milan run away with a 3-1 victory, but he played a key part in the game causing all sorts of trouble for the Celtic defence, especially in the first half of the game up against the likes of Stephen Welsh.

This will come as a slight boost to Neil Lennon’s side because, despite his age, he is still a key player. However, it is more than likely too late for Celtic who have given themself little to no chance of progressing from this group.
