Ian Bankier has refused to directly engage with a question about the potential appointment of police chief Bernard Higgins to a role at Celtic.

Most Celtic supporters will know all about what’s happening after many of the prominent Hoops groups got together to protest Higgins.

We’ve had banners at Celtic Park, leaflets distributed on the Celtic Way and tennis balls disrupting the game at Dundee.

I think we’re going to see more and more protests about this after Ian Bankier’s response to the AGM. Our Editor @CraigCelt reports:

This is indeed a slap in the face to Celtic fans, not even discussing the matter with so much depth of feeling behind such a move is crass by Ian Bankier.

The AGM has been anything but run of the mill. Some of these became a formality during the last ten years, but not this one.

The room was not in favour of the reappointments of Ian Bankier and Brian Wilson, so the resolutions need to be carried to a poll.

Unfortunately, Celtic fans have no real power and are at the mercy of the usual suspects when it comes to decisions made at our club.

We heard the word ‘accountability’ quite a lot from our chairman, so where is the accountability and consequence of pulling the club down so far in such a short period of time.
