REPORTS on Thursday evening claim Celtic are trying to land Bournemouth midfielder Jordan Ibe to bolster their attacking options before the transfer deadline.

According to the Evening Times, Celtic’s interest pre-dates Neil Lennon taking over and the player could be brought in on loan for the season.

The winger has made 88 appearances for Bournemouth and has also played for Liverpool. He has fell down the pecking order with Eddie Howe who would be keen to get the player out on loan and playing. However, injuries to key men could see Jordan be kept at the club.

Celtic have just over two weeks to bring in any new players before the end of the window.

After a flurry of early activity, there has been no word of any new faces coming into the Scottish Champions.

A signing that would give the players and fans a lift would be welcome. Is Jordan Ibe that man or is a loan deal more short term thinking by the club?
