Celtic are closing in on their third summer signing according to Sky Sports Austria who have today reported the club are close to a deal to sign Boli Bolingoli.

Rumours have been rife the past 24 hours about the left back’s arrival and it looks like the club are close to getting their man.

The defender currently plays for Rapid Vienna and would be in direct competition with Kieran Tierney should the defender stay at Celtic. This report also makes the claim Celtic are ready to sell Kieran to Arsenal for around £25m which cannot be substantiated.

Celtic are likely to pay a decent fee for Bolingoli with transfermarkt claiming his market value is around £3million.

The defender is 24 and is the cousin of Romalu Lukaku. If Celtic do get this deal over the line it will inevitably make speculation surrounding Kieran Tierney more intense. Is this the biggest hint yet Celtic will let him go?

  1. Adios Mr T. We will follow your career wherever you choose to wander. Please don’t make Arsenal your first choice. Get your agent to call Oli Gunnar. Man U are not what they once were. But you have that class son. What a difference you’d make to that current squad.
