Mail Chief Football writer Stephen McGowan has let Celtic fans know the club are definitely not done yet on the transfer front.

The club confirmed Greg Taylor this evening after thrashing out a deal with Kilmarnock earlier in the day.

Now they have turned their attention to Manchester pair; Jeremie Frimpong (Man City) and Lee O’Connor (Man Utd) – two young defenders.

Frimpong was linked with a move to Celtic this morning while Lee O’Connor’s name popped up after 5pm this evening. Both deals look to be permanent and should be done before the window closes according to McGowan.

A bit of background on both players.

Jeremie is 18 and was born in Amsterdam. The right-back has spent the last three seasons at the Etihad but knocked back a new deal prompting the club to move him on this summer.

Lee O’Connor is 19 and has been at Manchester Utd for three years, he’s part of the Ireland youth set up. He can play all across the backline and could do a job for Celtic straight away.

  1. Great news now that these guys have been signed. Let’s do this nine and ten Celtic, and leave sevco in the more, where they belong.! I think over the other side of Glasgow Gerrard is financing the club himself.!!! Where is the money coming from???. None of these scribes have the balls to ask that question , for fear of getting thrown out of thier lodges, free mason and orange!!. Go Celts, let’s put them down !!!Hail Hail
