CELTIC have been linked with another youngster who would certainly be one for the future if he signed during this transfer window.

The Australian Journalist Ray Gatt confirmed to CeltsAreHere.com this evening, a young Western Sydney striker called Stefan Nikolic is ‘close’ to joining Celtic after initially playing a bounce game for the reserves back in October.

At the time, the player underwent a medical at the club and the below was posted on Facebook.

This deal looks as good as done now with the youngster set to join the developmental ranks.

Speaking to CeltsArehere.com, Chief Soccer Writer at The Australian gave us the low down about young Stefan.

“He is 15-year-old who had trials with Celtic late last year. Played in a reserve grade game.

“Has been part of wanderers youth development program and he comes from same management stable as Tom Rogic. “

Celtic are really packing their developmental side with some top players. Karamoko Dembele and Armstrong Oko-Flex are leading the charge and Stefan’s countryman Leo Mazis is in and around the team.

It’s likely Rogic will take the player under his wing, much like he has done with Mazis and Arzani. The midfielder is currently away with the Socceroos and preparing for their quarter-final tie in the Asian Cup.
