According to reports today in the print edition of the Scottish Daily Mail, Celtic are closing in on a deal for Wigan’s Kyle Joseph as cited by 67HH.

The striker is out of contract in the summer and is free to talk to other clubs.

It’s believed Celtic have got a head start on other interested parties as they look to finalise a deal to make Kyle a Celtic player in the summer.

The 19-year-old has had limited game time this season for Wigan but has still managed five goals and an assist.

For anybody wondering who would be signing this player with no manager in place, there is plenty of scope at Lennoxtown for the academy coaches to have a say. Chris McCart could be playing a role in bringing in youngsters he believes could do the business for any new man.

Main, first team signings, ready to go for next season will have to be made by the manager but peppering Lennoxtown with some new young and hungry players while others head out will be vital and everything shouldn’t stop until the summer.
