Celtic don’t appear to be wasting time in getting ready for their ten in a row tilt if reports are to be believed.

Yesterday, we told you a prominent Celtic social media account claimed Aaron Hickey was in our sights with the club confident of bringing the Hearts player back to Celtic park.

This has now been followed up by 90min.com reporting Aaron has had a few options this summer but has decided to make the return to Celtic.

Neil Lennon doesn’t see a lot of upheaval happening but he’s clearly keen to add to his squad.

If the move for Hickey does go ahead, it will throw doubt over Boli Bolingoli who was dropped by Neil Lennon after half a season.

Hickey would likely come in and challenge Greg Taylor for the left-back spot. Given the player left the Celtic youth system to go get game time elsewhere, he wouldn’t be coming back to sit on the bench.

  1. This is a problem position for Celtic-can’t see how bringing in an inexperienced youngster , who has had a poor season at the worst team in the top league, will strengthen the team-looks like yet another player to add to a bloated squad rather than improving the first team

  2. Let’s face it, Hearts were woeful this season. Young Hickey stood out when I seen him playing. Defo worth a punt. Hail Hail.

  3. This boy has not got what it takes to fit into a Celtic strip my. Not a had footballer, but after watching him for months, he can not pick out a guy with his colours on when he takes throw ins. The ball always ends at the opposition player!!!.
