It was confirmed by the FAI yesterday that Dundalk will use the Aviva stadium for their Champions League playoff venue regardless of who they draw today.

Speaking on the FAI website, Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny has praised the Irish Association for their assistance and willingness to go above and beyond for the club.

“The flexibility that the FAI have showed around League fixtures amongst the four clubs involved in Europe has helped the players recover adequately and that is important strategically when trying to reach your optimum level,” said Kenny.

This means if Celtic draw Dundalk in today’s Champions League playoff draw at 11am, then it will see a quick return to the Aviva where they played Barcelona just last weekend.

The anticipation for the draw is reaching fever pitch and many fans would love another trip back to Dublin.

  1. I d still like us to strengthen before these ties.

We really need better players in several positions.

We should be confident against any of those teams in reality, but at this moment I for one feel we are still a very fragile side
