CELTIC will fly out this afternoon to Romania for the second time this season to take on Cluj – this time in the Europa League.
Celtic have already topped the group as winners and can go into the game relaxed knowing their passage through to the last 32 is secured.
Cluj still have some work to do with Lazio breathing down their necks. The Romanian side who famously tried their best to get under Celtic’s skin in their past encounters are hoping the bhoys do them a massive favour of Thursday.
Celtic don’t have to field their strongest side with so many games coming up but it does pay to play your best players…literally.
Celtic could come home with an extra €570k bonus from UEFA if they were to take all three points against Cluj. The win set by UEFA has already paid dividends for the club this term with four wins to their name and one draw which they also get €190k for.
While there are more important games coming up, it is certainly worth Celtic’s while to win the game.
