Tyrese Campbell has been linked with a move to Celtic either in January or the summer and by the showing against Huddersfield this week, it looks like the player could be exactly what Neil Lennon is looking for.
Record Sport revealed in late December that Celtic scouts had been down to watch Tyrese play for Stoke and if they’re still keeping an eye on the striker they’ll know he bagged two goals in The Potters win over Huddersfield on New Years day.
It was great timing for the striker and his agent with the player entering the last six months of his deal with Stoke.
Celtic could land the player for a fraction of the asking price the English side would want if he was under contract beyond this season.
If the Scottish Champions did make a move for Campbell they would only have to pay a nominal cross border fee for the youngster much like the did for Moussa Dembele when the club brought the Frenchman in from Fulham.
It’s something worth exploring if the striker has the potential.
