Celtic looked like they were going to blitz Hearts tonight at Paradise, that is if you were using their first-half performance as an indicator. The Hoops looked in complete control of the game with the visitors looking miles off it and offering nothing.

The two teams headed down the tunnel at halftime with a 1-0 lead after Kyogo scored his 14th goal of the season. The second half was a drab dreary affair and in the end, Celtic collected all three points but at a massive cost.

Just when Ange Postecoglou looked like he was getting a full-strength squad just in time for nine games lined up for the month disaster struck on the injury front.

Anthony Ralston was the first casualty, the wing-back got the assist for the Kyogo goal but seemed to have pulled up after putting the ball in the box. Moments later he was off.

The next disaster came in the shape of Jota. During one of his usual runs of dancing past defenders, the winger pulled up clutching his hamstring and was quickly substituted.

Then came the turn of Stephen Welsh. Welsh was brought into the team to cover for Carter-Vickers who wasn’t announced in the squad tonight, the manager citing personal reasons for his absence.

Carl Starfelt went down late on clutching his knee but luckily or hopefully he made a recovery. With so many games ahead these three points could come at a massive cost to Celtic.
