CELTIC leave Alloa with a win and a place in the next round of the Scottish Cup but with three injuries.

A poor refereeing performance meant that Alloa midfielder, Niang, was able to stay on the park, despite causing two of the three injuries, with his tackle on Guchi being a blatant sending-off.

Callum McGregor was forced off in the first half when he received a blow to the face, with his cheekbone getting some attention.

Liel Abada went down with a foot injury in the second half. Ideguchi was the victim of a potential leg-breaking challenge, after attempting to play on he signaled to the bench he could no longer continue.

Celtic already faces a weakening midfield, Tom Rogic is due to leave for Australia with David Turnbull already nursing an injury.

If Celtic adds two players to the ineligible list they face a squad lacking options. Hopefully, Matt O’Riley receives his international clearance in time for Hearts and will be available for selection.

The refereeing performance should be resolved for midweek after Celtic enters discussions with the SFA first thing on Monday morning.
