Neil Lennon has provided Celtic supporters with an update on testing after it emerged AC Milan had two positive tests just days after the pair met in the Europa League.

This out the club in high alert for positive tests. Asked today about the current state of play, the Celtic manager confirmed the players had been tested on Friday with everyone returning negative tests.

He then revealed the players and staff had been tested again on Tuesday morning with the results coming this evening or early tomorrow morning.

“We’ve been all negative, we were tested Friday and then tested today again, we will probably get those results later this evening.” Lennon told CelticTV.

Celtic have been hit by four call-offs this month because of the virus. Odsonne Edouard, Hatem Elhamed and Nir Bitton all tested positive while away on international duty. The fourth call off came from Ryan Christie who had to isolate even though he took all the correct precautions during his time away with the Scotland camp. Being in close proximity with a positive case meant he missed the Glasgow Derby.

Fingers crossed nobody tests positive this evening.
