Virgil van Dijk seems to have a new best friend at Liverpool and it would appear it’s a friendship born out of a love for Celtic.
Both players have an affinity for The Bhoys with van Dijk playing with Celtic before becoming the most expensive defender in the world while Andrew Robertson played for Celtic at youth level but is just Celtic daft in general.
Both seem to have hit it off since the Dutchman joined Robertson at the club.
This was Virgil’s post on July 22nd during pre-season with Liverpool in the US.

Robertson also had some fun on social media, making his own song for van Dijk.

The Liverpool defenders were both part of the Champions League final last season – putting in an amazing run to the final where they fell to Real Madrid.
There’s no doubt that Andy and Virgil are close due to their Celtic connection.
Virgil might just get a game for The Bhoys still but Andy has no chance of dislodging Kieran from left back.
