Celtic have been handed a fresh blow ahead of Thursday nights Europa League tie, with it looking unlikely that striker, Odsonne Edouard will be available.

As reported by the Sun, the hoops kick off the campaign with a tough home game against AC Milan and it has been revealed we could be without the striker which would be a huge blow for Neil Lennon and his side.

”He’s (Odsonne) had cardiac and blood tests and we’ll see how he is. He’s not trained for nearly two weeks and only got back on Friday.

“We can’t take a chance on anyone’s health and he wasn’t ready anyway. We knew he had no chance but couldn’t say it publicly

“I doubt he’ll be okay for Thursday.”

AC Milan is set to be a tough outfit already and to be without arguably our best player will just make that task even harder.

Edouard tested positive for Covid-19, just under two weeks ago and returned to the country on Friday.

With his early return, it gave some fans hope that he would make it for the game on Saturday but unfortunately he was not fit enough for selection.

Fingers crossed he will be fit enough to make it on Thursday but unfortunately, it’s looking extremely unlikely.
