According to reports this window, Brendan Rodgers has been working on getting Jack Hendry out on-loan for the second half of the season with the defender seeing very little game time this season.

The centre-back has only filled in when there has been injuries to key players and spends most of his time on the bench and sometimes not even in the matchday squad.

It’s believed Hibs and Sunderland are both keen on bringing Jack in and may come down to Brendan Rodgers overall preference.

Jack was brought in from Dundee last season for £1.5million and has failed to make the grade so far. Brendan Rodgers admitted he wasn’t planning to give the defender so much game time last season but because of injuries, he had no other choice.

Even though the player was 22 when he arrived, now 23, the Celtic manager has seen Hendry as a project.

A move in this window would benefit Celtic and Hendry.
