Celtic B Team Player, Brody Patterson, is set to serve a loan spell in Scotland’s third tier.

THREE clubs in the division are said to be after the player on a loan that would see the 20-year-old play in League 1 until the summer months. [Daily Record]

Last season he was at Queen Park where, along with Luca Connell, helped guide the team to the League 2 title. He will leave Tommy McIntyre’s Lowland League side and step up to the SPFL League 2.

The left-back faces competition to get into the starting squad. For one position, there are many different options to carry out the role.

Academy graduate Adam Montgomery is having to be patient to earn another chance with the likes of Liam Scales, Greg Taylor, and Juranovic all fighting it out to hold the spot.

In this case, a loan spell is one of the best options for the player. He can get some valuable first-team experience and attempt to come back a superior play than he was when he left Celtic.
