After pulling up in the warm-up before the Kilmarnock game on Sunday it looks like Filip Benkovic may also be sitting out this evening if reports are accurate.

According to the Daily Mail, the Croatian under 21 star is not quite there yet.

The big defender has played two solid games for the club but was sorely missed against Kilmarnock with Jack Hendry having to step in late on.

Celtic have had continual problems keeping centre backs fit for the past few seasons. All of the Celtic’s defenders have come down with at least one injury in the past season.

Ajer was the latest casualty before Benkovic but now it’s the loan signings turn to sit on the sidelines.

The good news is, Ajer may just make it for tonight’s game to reunite with central defensive partner Dedryk Boyata.

If neither make it then the responsibility will fall on Jack Hendry.

  1. The time has come before the league has gone,we must bring in a new CH two would be better and two midfielders and CF they all can be signed and all can play in the Scottish league and cups,as we buy in the men that will fight for the badge on the pitch we send home all the dead wood and put them up for sale.

The time is now not in January as BR needs £10/15 million to bring in three or four new players
