It might be ancient history and water under the bridge, but former Celtic defender Ramon Vega came out swinging on social media after being called out about his short stint at the club.

The towering centre-back spent just half a season on-loan at the club before heading to Watford.

While trying to make sense of the Glasgow Derby at the weekend, the player was questioned on his own time at the Hoops and how he had left for a much lesser Watford side.

Replying back to the post, Ramon made it clear he wasn’t offered a deal by Martin O’Neill and Celtic.

Ramon played a role in Celtic’s treble season and many thought he had just moved on after a brief cameo. In actual fact, he was gutted a deal wasn’t forthcoming.

Since retiring, Vega has took up a post in the media and is currently a global ambassador for Yahoo Sports.

  1. I’m glad Ramon Vega shut that clown up…he did a great job in his short spell with Celtic, and showed total COMMITTMENT…something we lack right now.
