Celtic will play either Riga or Tre Fiori in the third qualifying round of the Europa League AWAY from home.

The bhoys went out of the Champions League but now they have the chance to make up for it with a lengthy UEFA Europa League run.

The bhoys should have been last 16 contenders but capitulated against Copenhagen last season in the end.

We might not want to admit it, but right now, the Champions League feels like a million miles away for the club in terms of how we would manage in the group stages if we got there. The money we miss out on is huge but the Europa League should be a hunting ground where the club look to make a name for themselves at this point in our history.

All qualifiers for the Europa League games are one legged affairs – even the playoff. So if Celtic manage past the third round, it will be a straight knockout game in the playoff.
