Celtic’s Reserve Side absolutely blew their opponents away this evening in the city of Glasgow Cup with a thumping 4-1 win against Clyde.
The young side went behind in the first half but responded in emphatic fashion, pegging their opponents back quickly and then taking control of the game.
Two goals from McGrath and a goal a piece for Luca Connell and Karamoko Dembele made sure of the win. It could have been more in the end up but as the academy social media page says below, it was a dominant performances.
The players showed a real maturity and worked well together. Having standout players in the team isn’t enough – you need them to gel and that’s exactly what they bhoys did.
Hopefully, this will give the whole team a confidence boost and give Neil Lennon food for thought as the season wears on.
