Over 40k attended the Celtic v Everton game on Sunday afternoon in Sydney.

It felt like a home game for the Hoops, the singing coming exclusively from the Celtic fans throughout the game. It also felt like a home game in the sense Everton set up to defender and frustrate Celtic like many SPFL side. We knew the Toffees haven’t been playing great football, but flying across the world to play in front of fans to offer up such a poor and negative display was quite something.

The bhoys dominated the game and should’ve won it. Big misses for Kyogo and Abada made it feel like a Champions League tie in the end.

The game finished 0-0 and there was some confusion after the full time whistle. Gerry McCulloch on Celtic TV taken by surprise when it looked like penalties were on the cards.

The organisers of the event wanting to give fans some excitement after the 0-0 draw. Celtic lost 4-2 on the penalty shootout.

The bhoys now get set to move on to their Portugal training camp to prepare for the second half of the season.
