Celtic have been drawn against KR Reykjavik in the first round of Champions League qualifiers. The two sides have met before in the competition back in 2014.

Celtic have been drawn at home!

The game will take play on the 18/19th August and UEFA have made provisions and asked the clubs to seek alternate arrangements should their country be in lockdown during the time of the game.

The kicker is if any club gives UEFA the okay to go ahead and 24 hours or so before the tie a city of country goes into lockdown, the team would forfeit the tie.

This will only be a one-legged tie and a winner takes all scenario.

The draw for the next round will also be made tomorrow.

Celtic have already started their league and will have a good few games under their belt unlike normal seasons when we’re playing catch up on fitness.

It’s going to be the strangest Champions League season of all time and Celtic will be playing fixtures fort this seasons competition while the previous season’s competition is still going on.
