CELTIC will play either Ferencváros or Djurgården if they get past KR Reykjavik in the first round of Champions League qualifiers. Celtic were drawn out first so will have home advantage IF there are no problems due to the pandemic, the game would be played at Celtic Park
The bhoys have a date with the Icelandic team on the 18/19 August and if they do win that tie, they will go onto play the second round on the 25/26 August
Celtic managed to dodge Cluj in this round after last year’s Champions League calamity. The bhoys did make up for it in the Europa League!
All qualifiers are one-legged ties until the playoff round, proper knockout football, anything could happen.
The club have failed to reach the group stage of the Champions League for the past two seasons. It’s imperative the club do not slip up in qualifiers against perceived lesser teams.
