NIR BITTON hasn’t played for Celtic since the win at Ibrox early in September but he was back for his international side this week alongside fellow Celt Hatem abd Elhamed and both had a bad night at the office.
Israel took the lead against Austria only to concede three in the rest of the game consigning the Celtic duo to defeat.
Elhamed has been played at centre-back for Israel for some time and the Celtic new bhoy took up the position again for his country.
Bitton played the full ninety minutes in central midfield for his country but could do nothing to help the scoreline in the end.
It’s a bad wee for some of Celtic’s stars so ar with Scotland also falling to another demoralising defeat. James Forrest and Ryan Christie were snubbed from the starting XI and only Callum McGregor started the match.
Celtic’s next game is next Saturday against Ross County – all supporters can hope for is no fresh injuries and hoping some of these lads don’t come back too demoralised.
