It’s been a weird month in the world of football, to say the least. One consequence has been the transfer talk starting in March. Usually, you only have to suffer it for the summer but we hope you look forward to the next six months of speculation.

This time around we have a lot more than transfers to be speculating about. Who will win the league? Who gets relegated/promoted? When is the football back? and the list goes on.

Celtic have already been linked with a host of players since March but this one is a bit more believable just because of the player’s age. The Irish Herald has reported that Celtic are in the hunt for Irish youth player Calum Kavanagh. The son of ex-Irish international Graham Kavanagh. The paper also reports that Celtic have some serious competition to take the youngster from Middlesbrough who has put a three-year professional contract on the table.

Celtic will have competition from Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester and Newcastle United to get the teenagers signature who are all reported to be chasing the striker. The one thing Celtic have over these clubs is a track record of buying youngsters and bringing them through to the first team.
