It was always looking unlikely so close to game time, but it’s now been confirmed any travelling Celtic support for Thursday night’s Europa League game against Ferencvaros will NOT be permitted into the stadium
Local laws are set to change that could have seen an eleventh-hour bundle of tickets coming Celtic’s way, however, it’s turned out not to be the case.
Fans are still travelling to Hungary as we speak and will take in the game any way they can in Budapest.
Further to discussions with Ferencvaros late last night and early this morning, regrettably we have to update that we have been informed that there will be no access for #CelticFC supporters for #FERCEL in Budapest. #UEL

There’s already plans to see the Celtic team bus off to the stadium and the supporters will be in fine voice for that.
It’s regrettable we still can’t get into some stadiums across Europe. This is our second away Europa League group game where Celtic fans will be locked out.
Hopefully we can get back to supporting the team inside away stadiums shortly. The travelling Celtic support are a cut above. We don’t get many top away results but they’re always in good form.
