NEW YORK RED BULL have confirmed this afternoon they have secured the signing of Celtic striker Patryk Klimala who leaves the club have just under 18 months at the Hoops.

Klimala made 28 appearances for the club in total, scoring 3 goals in the process.

He was never trusted to lead the line by Neil Lennon and by the time John Kennedy took charge, the interest from Red bulls meant John couldn’t use Patryk, even if he wanted to.

The Polish star didn’t have much time to get used to Celtic before the pandemic hit and he had to sit out with the rest of his teammates for the restart.

He came back to pre-season training in tremendous shape, working on his upper body to become more physical for the league.

There’s no doubt the lad had the correct attitude but for whatever reason, he wasn’t given a run in the side.

Red Bulls posted this polish flag based graphic on their social media this afternoon [Morning times in the States] to signal the striker was coming in.

We’re awaiting written confirmation but it looks like the paperwork and the frontman’s visa has finally gone through.

Celtic have recouped a sizeable amount of their fee paid for Klimala back in January 2020.
