Nemanja Jovic is being closely monitored by Celtic, as they explore the possibility of bringing the 21-year-old Serbian to the club on a free transfer.

Estadio Deportivo reports that the winger left Partizan Belgrade after a legal dispute and is available on a free transfer.

With Liel Abada sidelined due to a long-term injury, Jovic could potentially be a smart addition to their squad. His availability on a free transfer might prove to be a shrewd business move by Celtic amidst intense competition for the young winger’s signature.

The Serbian, who is currently a free agent, has garnered interest from various top European clubs due to his availability on a free transfer. Basel, the Swiss side, has reportedly already tabled an offer for Jovic. Furthermore, clubs from Spain’s La Liga, such as Rayo Vallecano, and from the English Premier League, including Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Sheffield United, are also believed to be in the race for his signature. Several Bundesliga and Ligue 1 teams have shown interest too.

Jovic, though originally from Bosnia & Herzegovina, has chosen to represent Serbia at the international level. He already has two senior international caps for Serbia. His stint with Partizan Belgrade between 2020 and 2023 saw him make 74 league appearances and net 10 goals.
