SCOTT BROWN will face a late Armenian fitness test to discover if he can make Tuesday night’s Champions League qualifier.

The bhoys flew out to Alashkert yesterday a few bodies lighter after Leigh Griffiths and Marvin Compper weren’t risked for the trip – both picking up injuries in pre-season.

However, even though Brown is struggling a little the Celtic manager wants to give his captain every chance to prove his fitness for Celtic’s first competitive game of the season.

Celtic will hope to go to Alashkert and get a positive result with a strong team to call upon.

However, it’s still worth noting Tom Rogic, Mikael Lustig and of course Dedryk Boyata will not be there due to their World Cup involvement.

Celtic should have enough about them, even this early in proceedings to win in Armenia.

Having no Scott Brown would be a blow though.
