It has been a long three weeks. Three weeks without any football and with only photographs from the Bhoys in Dubai training, the appetite has not been satisfied.

All that is about to change though. Celtic are about to kick off the defence of a treble again. They are about to get back to 3 games a week again. The action starts in the Scottish Cup tomorrow at 3pm Paradise time as the Celts face 150/1 underdogs Brechin.

This might be the game Brendan Rodgers needs to get some of the rust off. The rust will quickly disappear with four games in ten days. Celtic will line up against Partick Thistle on Tuesday evening at the Firhill Stadium ensuring all Celtic’s remaining games for January are played in Glasgow.

After the trip to Firhill, it will be an Edinburgh double. Neil Lennon’s Hibs will walk out to a sold out Paradise next Saturday. So far the teams have met 3 times this season with 16 goals in the 3 games. Out of the 16 goals Celtic have two draws and one win for their troubles.

Last but not least (For January) will be some revenge heartbreaking. It was Hearts that smashed the Celtic 69 unbeaten run with a shocking 4-0 win at Tynecastle last year. Hearts claim to have a template to beat the invincibles, every Celtic player will look to rubbish the claims.

Four games in ten days should cure the itch for everyone, who knows maybe a few hectic deadline day transfers will top the four games off.
