The Celtic Trust has put out a message to the Celtic support this evening to let them know there will be a structured and peaceful protest on the Celtic Way this Sunday afternoon at 1pm before the Kilmarnock game.

With all areas coming out of tier 4, gathering outside the stadium is not illegal. The Celtic Trust say they have liaised with the club and the police on this and want to allow fans to be heard without the scenes of the past two weeks where things have been taken too far.

The trust condemns any violence happening in and around Celtic Park as a result of any frustrations as do we. They are letting the fans have the opportunity to protest in a safe manner.

The Celtic trust writes:

We urge those who wish to come to follow the guidance carefully:

  • Please do not travel from outside Glasgow
  • Please wear a face mask (face masks will be available from our stewards)
  • Please stand 2m apart in the marked spaces
  • Please follow instructions from our stewards
  • Please do everything necessary to keep yourselves and others safe

They are also aware this will not be seen as positive by the whole support but it gives a much needed safe outlet for those fans who wish to express their dissatisfaction at the way the board is handling the current season.

Celtic look a shadow of their former selves at the moment. The team looks bereft of confidence and the management look as if they’ve run out of ideas.

The board dismissing fans concerns and talking at them instead of with them has created this scenario.

If you do go, please adhere to all the above points.
