Celtic Fan TV kicks off tomorrow when Celtic take on Alashkert in the first round if Champions League qualifiers.

In our biased opinion, Celtic fan made media is up there with the best and is increasingly becoming the first stop for all tech savvy Tims in their thirst for everything Celtic.

As the bhoys get set turn on the camera and add a new dimension to Celtic fan media we participate in a short Q&A on what they hope to bring to the table.

Why have you decided to start Celtic Fan TV and what is your aim for this season?

We want to add a different dimension to the fan-generated Celtic media that already exists. There’s a lot of great content in terms of podcasts, blogs and websites but we think this will add something different for supporters to watch online. Our aim for this season is to be at every single domestic match, connect with as many supporters as possible and develop the content as we go.

Are you aware of the last time Celtic fans tried this?

Yes, we’re aware of all previous attempts. No one has consistently created good, engaging matchday content. We don’t want to embarrass anyone, make any memes or become a laughing stock.

What would you say to the people who are worried it will turn into Arsenal TV where it’s used as a source of amusement by opposition fans at times?

Let us create some content first before judging it.

I think the negative people assume that we’re going to make content that will somehow embarrass the club and other supporters, which is ridiculous. We want to make good, engaging matchday content that Celtic fans can enjoy. We will add to the range of content as we go, it won’t be limited to full time fan interviews. But people have overwhelming been supportive – for every sceptical comment, there’s 10 supportive ones.

Will this be live on social media or will the footage be edited before it’s published?

We will always be able to edit the content before publishing it. That means it’s up to us what makes it on to the videos and this will determine how it’s defined.

Will the people involved be attending the games before speaking to fans afterwards?

Yes, I’ll be attending every home game as usual before speaking to fans. Away games obviously depend on ticket availability.

Will you be based in any particular place around Celtic Park?

Initially, we’ll be outside the Emirates Arena but we’ll see how it goes once we get a few games in.

Where can people best find you on social media?

You can find us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook @CelticFansTV. The best place to keep up to date is to subscribe on YouTube, we’re CelticFansTV on there as well.
