TOM ROGIC has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal and was surprisingly coy as he spoke of his love for the club.
The Australian who will take part in this summers World Cup in Russia almost seemed to be summing up his time at Celtic, rather than talk about the future.
Of course, there is a long way to go in negotiations and Celtic want the midfielder to stay.
If he feels anything like what he describes then the 25-year-old will hopefully sign a new deal in the coming months with Tom coming into the last 12-months of his deal.
Speaking about his time at the club, Rogic was glowing in his praise.
“I’ve had ups and downs as everyone has in football, but I can look back on the last five years and be proud of my achievements and fortunate to have been at this club for that period of time.
“In recent times, last season was pretty special on the whole.
“Going unbeaten and winning the Treble and, for me, the last moment in the Scottish Cup Final was something I will never forget.
“But I don’t like to talk about it too much or focus on it because it only was one moment. We had a big squad and everyone contributed.
“Celtic the club is enormous. There is obviously a large history and anytime there is a match or anytime you pull on that jersey, you have a responsibility.
“There is a certain amount of pressure that comes with representing the club, but all players want to play at the highest level and for the biggest clubs.
“That’s what comes with it, so it’s pretty cool to represent the club.
“It’s an atmosphere that is right up there with the very best in the world.”
The majority of Celtic fans are desperate to see the Scottish Cup hero stay, he is a fantastic player who chips in with some major goals.
If his representatives are waiting for the World Cup to be over to see where the land lies then it could be a nervous wait come July.
