The international break has now commenced and Celtic have nine players jetting off to represent their countries, with a further three competing at youth level. Celtic fans will face a sweat as they hope all return injury free.

Representing Scotland are Callum McGregor and David Turnbull, both have the potential to fave Nir Bitton and Liel Abada who have been called up for the Israeli squad. Both sides meet in a crucial match, a win for Scotland would boost their chances of reaching the World Cup in just over twelve months.

Across the water, Carl Starfelt retains his place in the Swedish squad to face Greece and Kosovo.

Albian Ajeti has been recalled to his national team set up, as Switzerland take on Lithuania and Northern Ireland, where he could be shooting into Conor Hazard.

Kyogo and Tom Rogic could lock horns as well. Japan and Australia are set to play on the 12th of October.

Stephen Welsh and Adam Montgomery will represent Scotland U21s with Dane Murray representing the countries U19s.

Ange Postecoglou, along with everyone involved with Celtic will be keen to welcome the players back to Lennoxtown with no casualties. The Hoops intend to kick on after Sunday’s result and keep the results coming. Having a fully fit squad will certainly help this.

Celtic will also hope to welcome back James Forrest and Chris Julien with the internationals after the break.

This isn’t the last international break this side of Christmas, with another one scheduled in for November, breaking up the club play for the third successive month.
