Omar Elabdellaoui has put Celtic fans on high alert after the player posted a picture of himself at a Greek Airport on Friday night BUT it looks like it’s a false alarm with the player jetting out to play in Olympiacos’ away day.
The right-back has been on Celtic’s radar for some time now, but the Olympiacos manager has been adamant the player would not be sold.
Olympiacos have a game this afternoon against Giannina where the defender is expected to be in the squad.
We’re into the second half of the January transfer window and Celtic have still not been able to fill their arguably most problem position.
Three players have come in so far with one permanent deal and two loans. If Omar is on the way Celtic fans will be delighted the club have taken the bull by the horns and got the deal done.
It’s getting to the point Celtic fans are looking at any slight hint of a defender coming in before the window closes!
