CELTIC FANS will always give you an honest opinion when it comes to all things about the club and the support is that vast and diverse you’re never going to get a general consensus.
The news today that former England and Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has laid his cards on the table with regards to a move to the Scottish Champions – fans seem split on whether signing the 31-year-old would be a good move for the club.
Moussa Dembele leaving in the final hours of the window when Brendan Rodgers was keen to retain the Frenchman’s services has left a massive hole in Celtic’s striking options. The club is short on strikers and could end up in a nightmare scenario if both Edouard and Griffiths come down with injuries.
Could Gabby be worth a short-term deal at Celtic Park in order to provide cover for the Celtic duo and perhaps play his way into a longer deal?
Some fans think it’s a no-brainer and others are probably harking back to the signing of Carlton Cole a few years back which was a complete waste of everybody’s time.
Agbonlahor? – there is reason why he is a free agent, has lost his way over the last few years. But at 31 he’d be worth a trial, we do need cover for Edouard and Griffiths, and if we could get him back to decent form he’d be an asset.

Agbonlahor eh? Ye know, when he came on on Saturday my first thought was "didn't know he'd retired"! Still pretty quick with good movement. Depending on the money he's after, could well be worth a punt as back up. Fk, given his experience he'd be putting a rocket up the other 2😉

I’d rather @Tony_Watt7 ripped up his contract with The Saints and signed as our third striker than sign Agbonlahor.

Former Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor tells Celtic to come and get him.
He must be still locked in Celtic Park since Saturday's match.

Can’t see Agbonlahor signing. He was good in the charity event, however he’d have to lose a massive amount of weight in order for him to sign which could definitely happen. Also he’s a striker and a free agent. Can’t see it happening tho.
