CELTIC fans are itching to book their away day plans, with supporters eager to visit the Bernabeu. However, UEFA could hold onto the fixture list and release them on Saturday.
We usually have the fixture list with us within hours, but with Europa League and Conference League ties taking place on Thursday night before a draw on Friday afternoon, it’s made things a little more complicated for UEFA.
It’s thought that UEFA will announce all fixtures for the three competitions at the same time.
Football Scotland claims a source told them;
“It’s possible we’ll get them tomorrow evening but more likely all 3 competitions’ fixtures on Saturday. Lots of moving parts to accommodate.”
It will be a long wait for fans planning on going on an away day this season. Many have had provisional plans in place, hoping to book up on Thursday evening, but it’s unlikely this will be the case.
It’s a long wait until Saturday, but this does seem to be the worst-case scenario. Hopefully, we’ll know the dates soon enough, with the first matchday just ten days away.
