This evening, the TV and fixture amendments for the end of November into December have been announced and it looks as though Celtic fans are set to be introduced to the Pay-per-view system once again, as they were for two fixtures in September.
The games that have been chosen so far are Rangers vs Aberdeen (22/11/20), Ross County vs Rangers (06/12/20), Dundee United vs Rangers (13/12/20) and Livingston vs Celtic (20/12/20). There is still a chance that this Livingston game, will be rearranged once again, because of Celtic’s involvement in completing last years Scottish Cup. If we win our Semi-final tie against Aberdeen, this will be the date of the final.
With this announcement, it looks as though the Scottish Champions game against Hibernian at the end of next month will be behind the paywall, with supporters having to subscribe to the Edinburgh side’s PPV service for this game.
It has also not been confirmed, whether this years boxing day fixture, away against Hamilton Accies will be in the same situation.
I am sure fans will remember being involved in a similar process, earlier in the season for two games against Ross County and St Mirren, in which supporters had to fork out £27.50, in order to watch the game.
This may come as a frustration to some supporters, who were expecting these games to be on Sky, as a lot of these games have been so far this season but unfortunately, that does not look like it will be the case.
