CELTIC FANS attending Murrayfield on Sunday will be carving out their own piece of Celtic and Scottish football modern history.

The game that was unceremoniously shoved to Murrayfield looks like the showpiece game of the day in Scotland; above the Aberdeen vs Rangers* tie.

This is because both Celtic and Hearts fans have backed their team and with Celtic’s allocation now sold out and Hearts nearly there the game is now heading towards Scotlands biggest capacity football game in just under 30 years.

Murrayfield holds 67,000, that’s much higher than the national stadium where on a normal day Celtic and Hearts would be playing.

The crowd 29 years ago was 72,069 when Celtic beat Rangers 1-0 thanks to a Joe Miller goal before Hampden was redeveloped.

With the game live on TV and the current two top sides in the country set to do battle – it’s going to be a showpiece event for Scottish football.
