TOM ROGIC will NOT be playing any part in Australia’s Asian Cup quarter-final this afternoon with the player suspended for the tie.

The Celtic star has been on international duty since the end of December and has played his part in the competition up until this point.

It was 20 minutes into the Uzbekistan game when the player picked up his second caution of the competition; knowing this, Socceroos boss Graham Arnold opted to play Rogic well into extra time in the last game. Australia went through on penalties to set up today’s meeting with the United Arab Emirates.

Most Celtic fans will be glad Tom Rogic won’t see any game time today in the hope he comes back as fresh as possible when Australia finish their competition.

Tom was not allowed to play in Celtic’s final game of the 2018 campaign at Ibrox and he was sorely missed. With a big run of games coming up in February, the sooner om is back the better.
