KIERAN TIERNEY has confirmed he has trained the past two days ahead of this Scottish Cup Final on Saturday where he expects to start.

The left back has been a doubt since it was revealed he needs a double hernia operation this summer to fix a long-standing injury problem. Kieran missed the last two games of the season against The Rangers and Hearts with the idea of resting his body before the Cup Final.

This looks to have paid dividends with the player telling fans he’s in training again ahead of the weekend.

Celtic will have to be at their best on Saturday if they want to win their third consecutive treble and own another piece of Scottish football history which would likely go unmatched for years to come.

Tierney is looking forward to the game and admits the bhoys are desperate for the win: “It’s one more big push from the players. We have a great changing room of guys who are up for it. We’re fighting for a cause and we’re fighting for Celtic.” he told CelticTV.

Neil Lennon will be tasked with delivering that feat when Celtic take to the Hampden pitch at 3pm on Saturday. The bhoys have bagged two trophies already this season, will this be the icing on the cake?
